For as long as I can remember, parties have been "my thing". As a child growing up in New York City metro area, I remember day dreaming about the big events and functions I'd see around Manhattan. My father would take us to Chinatown for lunch almost every Sunday. I was mesmerized by all of the colors , sights and sounds of the city. I'm pretty certain that this sparked my creativity as I've been creating every since.
During my college years, my sister and I started a basket delivery service to pay for our tuition. That little basement business morphed into a successful full service event planning business. After we both completed our studies, we felt that we needed to move on to "real jobs' but planning events was always something I felt that I would try again some day.
Fast forward almost 20 years and several industry jobs later and here I am ready to share my love for this business and all that I've learned throughout my years in hospitality.
The best advise I can give to someone planning an event is to anticipate your guests' needs and never underestimate the "little details" but most of all ...Have fun! It's your special day.
